Meta tag analyzer FAQ
What does the meta tag analyzer check?
It fetches the live page and reads the title, meta description, canonical link, robots directive, viewport, charset, language, and the full Open Graph and Twitter Card set, then flags anything missing, too long, or set to noindex.
Why does the length matter?
Google truncates titles around 60 characters and descriptions around 160. Going over means the important words can get cut off in the result. This tool shows the exact character counts so you can trim before publishing.
It shows tags I did not expect. Why?
Many themes, SEO plugins, and page builders inject their own meta and Open Graph tags. This tool shows what is actually in the served HTML, which is what crawlers and social platforms use, not what you think you set.
Does it read JavaScript-rendered tags?
It reads the server-rendered HTML. Most meta and Open Graph tags are server-rendered, but if your tags are injected purely client-side they may not appear here, which is also a warning sign, since some crawlers do not run JavaScript.
